The unsatisfactory quality of these resources can immediately, or after some time, provoke a deterioration in our well-being, the development of various diseases, and even death.
Therefore, it is so important to monitor all changes in the environment, because even the smallest and imperceptible failings for the average person can lead to disruption of the natural balance and the emergence of processes dangerous to the health of the population.
To a large extent, this issue relates to landfills or so-called landfills. Their harmful effects are not limited only to an unpleasant odor, it is much more versatile and dangerous than it seems at first glance. From landfills, the pollution process goes in several directions at once:

Water Supply
Penetration of toxic substances into underground and surface water sources and surface water bodies occurs due to the accumulation of waste dumps in or near the water source. Moisture seeps through the soil into groundwater, and then into surface water bodies, from which water is drawn for drinking and other needs of the population. The use of contaminated water can lead to intoxication of the body, outbreaks of intestinal infection and other infectious diseases.
Soil pollution with hazardous organic and inorganic compounds makes it unsuitable for further use for economic purposes. The process of decomposition of solid waste is gradually going on and in the soil there is not only an accumulation of hazardous chemicals, but also infection by pathogenic (pathogenic) microflora. From the soil, toxic substances and pathogenic microorganisms can again penetrate into groundwater and into the human body.
Emissions of gases contributing to the development of the greenhouse effect into the atmosphere are a visually imperceptible but quite serious problem created by solid waste landfills. As a result of the process of "fermentation" of garbage caused by the bacteria living in it, the so-called landfill gas is formed. It mainly consists of methane, carbon dioxide and other gaseous impurities in small quantities and, getting into the atmosphere, contributes to the destruction of the ozone layer. Eliminating this problem is simple if you collect landfill gas and use it as an alternative fuel for energy needs.
Flora and Fauna
The aggravation of the sanitary and epidemiological situation of the area and the uncontrolled development of pathogens are due to the fact that garbage contains a large number of available organic substances – the main source of nutrition for many bacteria, including pathogenic and parasitic organisms. Animals living in a landfill, such as dogs, birds, rodents, become carriers of dangerous diseases - plague, tetanus, gangrene, cholera, all kinds of helminth infections and many others. This can lead to serious outbreaks of disease and an exacerbation of the epidemiological situation that is dangerous to public health. Due to environmental pollution from landfills, the risks of cancerous tumors also increase.
The Solution
The solution to the problem of landfills is the creation of a cyclical economy, when waste is disposed of as raw materials for industry. However, in this case, we still face the fact that not all waste can be reused. We are forced to store most of them at the same landfill.

WARP® Complex Marine in fact is not so much a modification as a special solution developed for projects implemented in coastal regions. In this case, the complex is installed on a decommissioned offshore platform (artificial island, pier) equipped with a berth for receiving waste from self-propelled barges - shuttles.
Barges collect waste from coastal sites (hotels, households), moving them to the complex making this an effective solution for the disposal of waste from coastal areas and resorts.

The energy obtained through gasification of waste is converted into the resources necessary for the population and business of the region: electricity, fresh water can be used to supply energy to refrigerated warehouses, data centers, and communication complexes.
All this allows to improve the infrastructure of the coastal region, does not require additional space and solves the problem of waste.

The specifics of the Marine design takes into account the increased requirements for equipment when working at sea (water-salt fog, increased corrosion, humidity). Special attention is paid to waste transshipment processes that exclude their release into coastal waters.

In addition, the UNIVASTUM WARP® Complex Marine waste-to-energy complex is designed for the disposal of specific waste, such as bilge water from ships, cruise ship waste, etc.

Considering that costs for waste management and electricity are often high in coastal regions and resorts, communities and companies operating in coastal regions and islands get a cost-effective project with a payback period of 4-6 years, which also has high social and environmental significance.
Pollution of open waters of oceans and seas is a global problem. Therefore, we at UNIVASTUM have developed a promising solution for placing our power plant on a floating platform.

The minimum size of the complex and technology features allows it to be placed on the deck and in the holds of a special vessel that can clean the surface of the oceans from human waste (primarily plastic).
In this case, the energy obtained from gasification of waste is used for the operation of the vessel (including the operation of electric motors), which significantly reduces the cost of operating the ocean cleaning complex.
Each year, such a ship with only one complex on board can harmlessly clean the ocean from 16,000 tons of waste.

We consider this decision to be very promising and we invite all organizations and individuals who are interested in making our planet cleaner to cooperate.
The Country version is the basic version of the WARP® Complex complex which provides maximum simplicity and speed of installation. In this case, all the equipment is placed on an open area and does not require construction of any buildings.
The equipment is delivered in an all-weather design, open placement simplifies maintenance and reduces the cost of generating electricity.

Placing the complex requires a level prepared site with an area of 0.5-1 hectares and up to 1 cubic meter of industrial water for technological needs.

The waste-to-energy WARP® Complex Country complex is ideal for placement in rural areas where there are no significant restrictions on the complex's area.
UNIVASTUM's Urban version is no different from Country in terms of performance, efficiency and reliability. The only difference is that the WARP® Complex technological containers are not placed in an open area, but inside a multi-floor modular building, which in its design resembles multi-level car parks.

This design does not provide for complete closed walls, thereby providing reliable ventilation of the space inside the perimeter of the building. At the same time, fire safety requirements are fully complied with without the use of additional technological units.

In terms of service, Urban is no different from Country.
Urban for its accommodation requires 0.15-0.3 hectares, which makes it ideal for placement in urban areas.
